Hippocrates Cultural Center

In Mastichari there is a private philosophical and cultural center devoted to the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates. It was founded in 2008 by Julie Zafeiratou in the shape of the 5th century BC settlement. This includes a House (oikos in Greek), a Philosopher’s Arcade and a stone-built theater that has eighty seats. Inside the house is decorated based on the period of Ancient Greeks and has everything a resident might need. Wander through the gorgeous garden that is filled with the aromas of vineyards, fruit and cedar trees and then take part in one of the seminars that are usually organized.
