The Roman Odeon

The ancient Odeon in Kos was built by the Romans between the 2nd and 3rd century. Along with the Gymnasium and Casa Romana it constitutes the Ancient Town that people can visit during a simple walk. The Odeon has been restored throughout the years, yet there are parts of it that are still the original ones. It has eighteen rows of seats that would accommodate people who used to gather to watch theatrical performances of either comedy or tragedy. These relics of the past should be explored and praised, as they still carry with them all the grandeur of History.
