Kardamena Village
Kardamena is located 6km from Antimachia. It is one of the famous and developed tourist resorts, but it used to be a fishing village in the past. In 1865, the foundations for this village were raised on top of the pieces of Alasarna, an ancient city that hosted a Hellenistic temple devoted to Apollo. The little harbor offers a magnetizing view of the sea, as well as of the cliffs that surround the area. You can either get to Nisyros, another stunning Dodecanese island or visit Agia Irini’s hot springs that are said to have therapeutic properties and give gynecological, mostly, ailments.
