The Castle of Antimachia
A little further up, on a hill, in Antimachia village explore a Venetian Castle that has been standing from early 14th century. This was built by the Order of the Knights of Saint John, as the one in the center of Kos. Look up at the engraved marble while walking through the double gates and you’ll see the symbol of the Knights. The fortifications proudly remain almost intact and inside them are some churches built after the 16th century. The enchanting views of the endless blue Aegean Sea are visible from the top, so don’t miss them!
